Captain Beth Powell is a trailblazer in aviation, becoming the second Black female captain at American Eagle Airlines and the first Black female pilot manager at American Airlines. With a passion for aviation from a young age, Powell has worked to pave the way for future aviators.
Notably, she collaborated with Bessie Coleman’s family to honor the iconic aviator in the book Queen of the Skies with co-author Gigi Coleman.
Powell is also dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in the aviation industry, offering scholarships to young aspiring pilots.
