“Journey Above the Stars”

Join us once again for the Museum’s most exciting fundraiser of the year. Yes, we will try to separate you from some money, but we commit to doing it in a rowdy and entertaining way. Partake in mouth watern’ BBQ. Grab a roll of paper towels, and don’t be ashamed to dig in with your fingers. Listen to retired astronaut Susan Kilrain as she leads us on a sizzling journey from the 1940’s audacious dream of space travel to the 21st century’s reality. End the evening with a night cap and some boot-scootin’ country tunes from the likes of Hank Williams to Luke Combs. The attire is western swag with a 1940’s flair.

Help us achieve our goal of raising $500,000 for exterior renovations

Auction & Games

We will not have a silent or live auction this year.  We will hold a lively, fast-paced cash auction, that we call “Wheels Up!”.   A cash auction simply means the auctioneer will invite participants to pledge different amounts of cash beginning at $5,000 down to $100. If there is an amount you would like to pledge, you simply put your paddle (that has airplane wheels on it) in the air.  Spotters will note your paddle number and you can give your donation after the auction.  We keep it light-hearted and there is no tremendous pressure to give.  We understand that some people have donated their time and travel expenses to come.  Others want to give more, but they do so privately by quietly writing a check or donating through our website.  The Museum is elated for your participation at any level.  Thanks for joining us in celebrating the WASP.
